The Founder

Saleh Usman, PhD

 

XCEL ASICs was founded by Saleh Usman, PhD, who brings over seventeen years of combined industrial and academic experience, with broad expertise in digital design, efficient FPGA and ASIC implementation, wireless communication systems, error-correction codes, machine learning, and embedded systems. His professional journey spans academia and industry roles across South Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, contributing to high-impact research and silicon-proven engineering solutions. The title of his PhD dissertation, "Optimized ASIC Accelerator Chips for LDPC Decoders by Joint Algorithm, Architecture, and Circuit Co-Design," reflects a deep commitment to bridging theory and practice in advanced VLSI systems. His research has been published in esteemed journals and international conferences, including IEEE TCAS II, ISCAS, ISVLSI, and GLOBECOM.
